Removing SIM card after installing eSIM

A week ago I upgraded my plan and downloaded an eSIM. The eSIM is activated and has been working fine for for the past week. My question is, should I remove the physical SIM card? And if so, are there any advantages or disadvantages of removing the card?

Since you transferred your service to an eSim, the old sim card is deactivated and will not work anymore. Simply take it out and trash it. Once deactivated, you can't reuse it. 🙂

I have switched to an eSIM for my phone. How do I remove my number and data from the physical SIM card and then use this card for a new mobile number activation?

It's not overly convenient to buy a new SIM, I'm hoping we can use what we currently have.
