Roaming with a Prepaid plan - I need to receive texts internationally. What do I do?

I am located internationally (UAE) and need to receive texts . I have 25 dollar normal prepaid plan and I turned on the SMS option but did not receive any texts. can anybody help ? Do I need to do some settings?

Hey there @sammy123,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for your post.

Roaming is not available to Prepaid Members. Your mobility service will only be operational in Canada and you will not have the ability to connect to roaming services.

As of September, 30 2024 Prepaid Plans are no longer offered for activation.

Not able to receive international texts

I have a $35 monthly pre-paid plan. I am currently in Germany but I am not able to connect to any network or receive any texts here. The issue isn't with my phone since I am experiencing the same issue with my other phone. I have also tried different areas of the city so I know it's not a network issue, but rather a Virgin issue.

Prepaid Sim Card and adding international roaming

I want to be able to use my prepaid sim card internationally, how do I allow that to happen? I want to reach text message on my phone?

I like to keep my number and get the 2-system verification codes on my Canadian number internationally.

Hi,

I came to Nigeria for holiday and I tried using my Virgin plus prepaid sim in my phone but it says no service. I really need it to be able to get SMS messages with platforms I have registered on with my virgin plus sim. I still have an active plan on the sim. Is there anything i can do to e able to get cell service in Nigeria?
